Background
Health and safety is an important issue for NZNO members. NZNO is part of the Council of Trade Unions joint union campaign for healthy and safety workplaces. The campaign is called Unions Talking Health and Safety. The campaign is aimed at electing health and safety representatives for every workplace. Research has shown that, where workers are invovled in their own health and safety, workplaces are healthier and safer. The New Zealand Council of Trade Unions website has lots of health and safety information and information to support and assist workplace representvies.
