Have your say on the way NZNO works for you!
NZNO is in good shape and good heart but complacency is never a good idea. Our Board of Directors has decided that a time when things are going well is the best time to reflect on how we go about improving NZNO so it works best for you, our members.
Reviews are often done by organisations in crisis but experience tells us that this is precisely when it is hardest to agree on or implement change. We have commissioned Peter Harris and Owen Harvey - two independent and experienced consultants - to canvass members' views. In particular they will be asking about:
- our structures (how the different interests of members are organised for making decisions within NZNO) and
- our processes (how members interact with those structures)
- our systems (how we actually operate)
They are not looking to change our ways - that will be for us to decide. They will be identifying the concerns members have and evaluating your satisfaction with the ways you can engage in NZNO and participate in the formulation of organisational policy and action.
This will inform an independent critique by Innovation and Systems of the effectiveness of the current processes supporting our structures.
