Opinion

The Corner designed for elders opinion

Ladies and Gentlemen
welcome to one and all
Appreciation to you
on your visit here
This is the a corner designated
for elders of the world
a place where dialogue takes place
involving one and all.

Our hope and our plea
Is to take in history
Listen to dialogue
Proverbs short or long
Therefore families
Enlighten us with your stories
Let us help achieve
Paaua’s many dreams

Who is Paua and who planted Paua’s seed?

It is to be announced that NZNO and it’s Maaori
Organisation supported by the Board of Trustees
planted Paaua’s seed some time ago
Paaua has now grown into the platform where it
indicates strategies on how we may be able to go about
achieving a workable Bicultural Partnership in
NZNO and to a wider degree NZ where Maaori is the partner

The song my wife and I sang was composed specially
for the Paaua Kaumaatua Corner Web site to be
launched Thursday 16 September and you are all
invited to visit the site to have your say, we would be
honoured be your participation.

Lets recall the breathe of life of Taanemahuta
A the creation of the world we know
You have been riding upon the crest of the four winds
Today your vehicle has turned to our corner of the World
First and foremost let us seek treasures of old
And let us unite them together with treasures of today
to create healthy generations
Now let us climb the mountain and listen to the many
proverbs hallowed by the maiden of the mist
Then we will take a trip in to the forest and listen to
the birds talking the language of our ancestors
Now let you and me dive this ocean, and view the
mussels, cockles and the many forms of life there.
Lets dive a bit deeper and view under rocks
There we will see sea eggs and paaua going about their
daily chores. Our ancestors came here to seek food,
for them, and especially Paaua

Friends Paaua is the vehicle that will propel us
forward where we will Progressively Act in Unity and Aroha.
We are happy and honoured that you have arrive here
at the homestead of Paaua
Please read what Paaua has suggested
enter your thoughts about it’s development.

In the New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO)
there are some 35,000 nurses and workers who are
committed to the Treaty of Waitangi as our guide
respecting and promoting the equal standing of
Maaori in NZ and NZNO Paaua is an expression of
cultural and clinical elements connecting.
