Our collection
The NZNO Library collection exists mainly to support the work of NZNO and does not hold clinical or course texts. However, members are welcome to approach us if you are not able to source material suited to your needs from your tertiary or medical library.
Visiting the library
You are welcome to visit the library in-person but we do ask that you contact us ahead of time to make an appointment. This allows us to make sure a staff member is available to assist you.
Journals and publications
The Library holds a range of journals and publications in different formats. We have a complete set of Kai Tiaki Nursing New Zealand since it was first published in 1908.
Requesting material
Requests can be made via telephone, mail, fax, webform or email. Tips on making a subject request can be found here.
In order to fulfill a request we may provide copies of articles from journals or newspapers; sometimes we will recommend a website; other times we might send you a book. It depends on what is best suited to your request.
Please note: Photocopies and PDFs are yours to keep, however you must comply with the copyright law and not make another copy of the copy sent to you.
Books are issued for a period of 4 weeks.
We ask that you treat borrowed material carefully, return it promptly, and bear the cost of returning the book to the NZNO Library.
Library newsletter
A library newsletter is published once or twice weekly. Email library@nzno.org.nz to subscribe and get the latest news and journal content details.
