Professional Nursing Advisers
The responsibilities of the Professional Nursing Advisors (PNAs) include professional leadership, education, policy development, promotion of nursing in national health forums and the provision of advice to members and other NZNO staff. Important to the work of the PNA is the establishment of relationships with not only members and delegates but also nurse leaders in all sectors.
The PNAs are the main contact for all of the NZNO Colleges and Sections and provide them with substantial guidance and support. Each PNA also has a geographical "territory" and certain national portfolios.
PNAs may be contacted on matters of scope of practice, ethics, the development of clinical protocols and other issues related to clinical practice and nursing models of care.
