- ANZICS conference update
- All remits to be presented at NZNO conference.
- AGM to be held in Rotorua ANZICS conference

Points discussed:
- Previous minutes
- Education Standards and recommendations by the Education working party.
- Appearance of such documents – should be more stylish for circulation at conferences etc. Costing to be ascertained.
- Noted that the CCN rules need revising in the near future.
- Discussion over circulation of discussion documents. Needs some improvement.
- Conference (October in Rotorua) planning well underway. Content looks most interesting.
- Current strategic plan reviewed – to be put onto the CCNS website.
- Any advertisements for Critical Comment need to be submitted to the committee for approval prior to publication.
Next meeting: 3 September in Wellington.
February 2007
Points discussed:
- Minutes from previous meeting
- Post-registration nurses going directly to ICU.
- Much more accurate match of members between our and NZNO databases.
- Yahoo has been shut down. Emails directly to members.
- Financials – report circulated by Mary Ann.
- Discussion around funding, marketing at ANZICS conference.
- Conference Planning. Abstract dates now published – registration forms to follow
- Strategic plan. Delay to next meeting. Work to be done in the meantime.
- ICU Foundation representative.
- AGM (NZNO) is 11, 12 & 13th September 2007.
- Discussion on lack of keen people making themselves available for national committee.
- Education standards – feedback almost limited to typos, case, and spelling.
- Another 2 meetings before the AGM in Rotorua.ZNO national awards 2007 service to nursing/midwifery. Good for the individuals but also very good for the specific section. Discussion around possible nominees for both awards. Nominations close 22nd June 2007.
