History
The section was established in 1996. A national committee is nominated at the Annual District Nurses Conference and meet four times a year.
Aim of the Section
The section exists to provide a forum to promote and maintain the professional identity of District Nursing and District Nurses.
Vision

Mission
"Delivery of comprehensive nursing care supported by a range of specialty skills, with community and professional relationships, which enhances the ability of the individual and family to achieve their optimal health potential."
