Flight Nurses Course

The section runs an Introductory Flight Nurses Course each year (or twice yearly according to demand). The course is instructed by an Aviation Nurse Consultant from Australia, with support from local nurses in specialist units.

This introductory course is 5 days in length and covers aspects such as:

Aviation physiology Stresses of flight

Body systems analysis Emergency training

Human factors Nursing care peri-flight
