ICU Baby – New Born Intensive Care Unit

The NICU is a 41 bed unit with 15 Level III, 14 Level II and 12 Level I beds. We admit approximately 800 babies annually from the central north region.

The NICU supports a retrieval service which retrieves sick and premature babies back to this tertiary centre, providing respiratory support using CPAP, ventilation, high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy.

Positions have become available for suitably qualified Neonatal Nurses. You will have recent Neonatal nursing experience. Consideration will also be given to nurses with relevant paediatric experience caring for babies in an acute setting. You will have the ability to function in a busy tertiary unit working 8 and 12 hour rostered rotating shifts including nights.

There is also the opportunity for nurses who wish to make a career change and who would be considered new to the Neonatal speciality.
