Women's Health Section (NZNO)
In 2003 the NZ Gynaecology Nurses Special Interest Group (NZGNSG) approved at their AGM that the group would become a professional section of NZNO. The national committee met for the first time in early 2004 and formed a steering committee undertaking considerable foundation work (ie establishing the section name, logo, section rules, and a strategic plan) which culminated in the ratification and launch of the Section at the AGM on the 5th November 2004. The section continues to hold very successful annual conferences and is currently working on professional practice standards and policies.
