Negotiations for the Maori and Iwi PHC MECA – Te Rau Kokiri – are progressing well. However, although the employers have agreed to pay parity in principle, the level of funding available to the providers is a barrier to implementing any pay increases.
NZNO and the employers are petitioning Parliament to work with NZNO and the sector to provide adequate funding. To date we have collected over 10,000 signatures! On behalf of the Project and Negotiation Teams many, many thanks to all who have contributed. We are in the process of developing a draft presentation plan - at this stage looking for this to be in May.
Action ==> Petitions can be collected right up to the week before so don’t lose any further opportunities!
