NZNO Sector Groups

Sector groups are primarily an internal NZNO structure. They bring together NZNO staff with professional and industrial from all regions expertise so they can address issues common to the NZNO members working in each particular sector.

We have four active national sector groups:

• DHB Sector Group 
  This includes members who are employed in the public sector and engaged as nursing staff or midwives
• Primary Health Care Sector Group
  Tthis includes members who are employed to work in private primary health care settings - Plunket, Family Planning, Maori Health Providers, Practice Nurses, PHO's, Labs, Occupational Health and others.
• Private Hospitals Sector Group
  This includes members who are employed to work in private hospitals (except those in aged care)
• Aged Care Sector Group
  This includes members who are employed to work in the private sector in long term care hospitals and resthomes

Each sector group comprises:

• Sector Group Coordinator
• Industrial Advisor
• Professional Nurse Advisor
• Other NZNO staff as appropriate
