Accreditation

The Diabetes Nurse Specialists Section of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation (DNSS NZNO) is dedicated to ensuring its members provide the best possible service and education to people with diabetes in New Zealand. This can only be achieved with suitably qualified, experienced nurses. The accreditation programme is intended to promote this excellence.

How to apply

Welcome to the accreditation process. Applications are called for from June 1st (for submission by 31 August, 2013) and November 1st (for submission by 31 March, 2014). Accreditation packs can be downloaded from this website (see below).

Please read the Accreditation Handbook for a detailed explanation of the accreditation process requirements. Please note that your PDRP must be current to apply for acceditation. If your PDRP needs to be updated you need to factor in the time that takes at your place of employment to ensure it can be signed off before your current accreditation status (if already accredited) expires.

If you  require clarification on any aspect of the process please contact the Chair of the Accreditation Board, Rosalie Hornung by email RosalieH@adhb.govt.nz

Please note: Please ensure when sending your portfolio that you courier to the NZNO street address as they will not accept PO Box addresses.
