Definition of Gerontology Nursing
- Gerontology nurses (or gerontology nurse specialists) utilise specialist nursing knowledge and judgment to provide competent care for older people in health rehabilitation and palliative care across the care continuum.
- Gerontology nursing care aims to assist the older person in realising his/her highest potential through functioning as fully as possible or towards a dignified death.
