A guarantee that government funding is only used for nursing and personal care of residents

When aged care employers receive their funding we want to see that money intended for wages protected so that it can’t be used for anything else.

Sometimes employers think there are better things to spend the money on, like new carpet or a grand piano for the foyer, or give money away to the shareholders.

If the money for wages is protected then it is easy for everyone to know what people should be getting paid.
