ACC Futures Coalition

The future of the New Zealand accident compensation scheme (ACC) is important to the people of New Zealand – as workers, employers, sportspeople, business people, treatment providers, drivers, parents and citizens.

The ACC Futures Coalition has been established to promote the current model of ACC in view of criticism of the scheme and signals from the government to privatise various ACC accounts and open these to competition.

Find out more at the ACC Futures Coalition website:

For Union resources and background information including the CTU’s July 2011 submission on the Governments proposed ‘privatisation’ of ACC go to the CTU website:

Alcohol Action

NZNO has formally endorsed the Alcohol Action NZ Campaign which was launched in 2009.

The campaign aims to reduce the social, economic and health burden and costs from alcohol, which are significant in New Zealand.

Fairness at Work

Unions know that times are tough, but cutting workers’ rights, public services, and jobs and wages won’t help get us out of recession – in fact, it’ll make it worse.

Pay Equity Challenge Coalition

Women are paid at least 12% less than men, in average hourly earnings. NZNO is a member of the Pay Equity Challenge Coalition. We challenge this Government to tell us what their plans are for closing the gender pay gap.
