The New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) conducts research, providing evidence that informs and strengthens the activities and leadership of NZNO.
Open surveys may be publicised here.
You can read the reports of recent surveys we have undertaken on our Research page.
Member Privacy
The New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) is often asked to facilitate access to parts of our membership database for research purposes.
We would like to reassure members that the process in place is as follows:
- The ethical status and validity of projects are checked before NZNO agrees to become involved
- The relevance to the interests of NZNO is reviewed and assessed by the management team and the Board of Directors
- Member details are never released to researchers: the usual process is for researchers to provide materials, and for NZNO to communicate these with members, by post or e-mail.
- Even where mail may appear to come from a university, District Health Board or other institution, the (franked) envelopes have been addressed by NZNO staff.
If you have any queries about the mechanisms by which researchers appear to have contacted members for research, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
