This last issue of the year has a number of features on nurses working with some disadvantaged communities overseas. It also has coverage of the South Pacific Nurses Forum in Melbourne, an update on the enrolled nursing workforce and two viewpoints on choices at the end of life.

This issue has a focus on infection control with a look at how two infection control clinical nurse specialists coped during a norovirus outbreak, an article on how to best manage scabies outbreaks, an infection control whodunnit and an article on sharps injuries. This issue covers NZNO’s first conference under the new constitution. This issue marks 50 years of nursing in prison with profiles of two present-day prison nurses.
