Call for Abstracts

Share your ideas and expertise

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) is pleased to open the call for abstracts for the 2020 annual Conference.

The NZNO conference theme “Community Wellbeing in Aotearoa, Nursing 2020 and beyond” acknowledges that Nurses, when empowered, play an essential role by improving wellbeing of our communities. In 2020 nurses are well positioned to showcase the impact of nursing interventions, nurse-led services and their contribution to addressing the inequalities of health-related outcomes between indigenous and non-indigenous people, which includes strengthening and improving health systems within their communities.

In addition it is an election year and so an opportunity to emphasise the importance of using evidence to raise nursing’s visibility based on achieving positive community outcomes. The conference theme also acknowledges the need to work with communities to profile nursing by demonstrating the value and contribution it makes to community wellbeing, to achieving equity, universal health coverage and gender equity.

This is your opportunity to share your innovations and achievments, allowing others to learn from your developments as you will learn from theirs. NZNO's annual conference is vibrant, attracting nurses, students, educators and researchers from all health sectors across the country, creating multiple opportunities for relationship building and networking.
