There have been many improvements in cancer care in New Zealand over the past decade, but lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer related deaths. Rates of lung cancer are disproportionately high among the Māori and Pacific peoples, making it an important health area for ongoing focussed attention. Furthermore, New Zealand continues to have lower survival rates than the countries it traditionally benchmarks itself against, including Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The New Zealand Lung Cancer Conference is an exciting opportunity to learn more about this issue from international and local experts. With an exciting programme ranging over two days, this course will be of great interest to health professionals working across the whole lung cancer pathway, from prevention and screening through to diagnosis, staging and management. The conference will feature information on the latest advances in lung cancer research and provide insight into clinical best practice models.
