Closing hours, holiday information and contacting the Member Support Centre 2018

NZNO offices will close at 5pm on Friday 21 December 2018, and re-open at 8.30am, Monday 14 January 2019.

If you need urgent assistance over this period, please phone the Member Support Centre on 0800-28-38-48, and press 1 to leave a message. We’ll get back to you to discuss the support you need.

There will be no service from 22 December to 6 January, but messages will be responded to soon after. From 7 January some staff will be available to return calls about urgent matters.

For non-urgent matters, or pay/membership inquiries during the closure period, press 2 and leave a message. Staff will be monitoring these messages but may not respond to non-urgent calls until our offices re-open.

Is the enquiry urgent?

A matter is urgent:

  • IF the incident regards serious misconduct or patient harm and/or involves: police; coroner; Nursing Council; Midwifery Council; Health and Disability Commissioner; witness in court; and meeting/action is required before NZNO offices re-open on January 14, 2019
  • the member or their delegate (or MSC call adviser) cannot delay the requested meeting/action required until after NZNO offices re-open
  • OR if the matter concerns an unavoidable situation that could affect the member’s practice or safety, e.g. ongoing boundaries issue, unsafe work situation or unsafe employer instruction.
