The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  and Te Ruananga o Aotearoa, NZNO  made submissions to the Māori Affairs Committee on the Electoral (Entrenchment of Māori Seats) Amendment Bill.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  (NZNO) made a submission to the Education and Workforce Committee on the Equal Pay Amendment Bill

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa (NZNO) made a submission to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment on three proposals to increase regulated ACC payments for treatment.

NZNO made a submission to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP) Amendment Bill recommending the addtion of a clause which would prevent the government from extending investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) protection to future signatories of the TPPA.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  (NZNO) made a second submission to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) on the Consumers’ Right to Know (Country of Origin of Food) Bill. NZNO supports the Bill its original form but not the recommendations of the interim report on this Bill that recommends country of origin labelling should apply to “only fresh or frozen food and not dried, cured or pickled food”, such as bacon and ham. This objection is on the grounds that consumers need to know if the small goods they are consuming are imported or contain imported products and therefore potentially associated  with public health risks such as AMR and viruses linked to pork.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa (NZNO) made a submission to the Government and Administration Committee to support the establishment of a fund to cover disability-related costs and improve the participation of people with a disability in the electoral processs.  

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  made a submission to he Ministry of Social Development on their consultation on Options to Strengthen Independent Oversight of Children's Issues and Oranga Tamariki System, largely concerning the functions of the office of the Children's Commissioer

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  (NZNO) made a submission to the Education and Workforce Committee opposing the Health and Safety (Volunteer Associations) Amendment Bill.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Toputanga Tapuhi Kitiaki o Aotearoa made a joint submisson with the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions, the Public Service Organisation and E Tū on the Privacy Bill. The Bill repeals and replaces the Privacy Act 1993, as recommended by the Law Commission's 2011 review of the Act. Its key purpose is to promote people's confidence that their personal information is secure and will be treated properly.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation made a submission to the Law and Order Committee on the Police (Cost Recovery) Amendment Bill, introduced in anticipation of increased demand for Police vetting services  to meet new regulations implementing the Vulnerable Children's Act. NZNO does not support the Bill and questions the cost effectiveness of proposed screening regulations for regulated health practitioners.
