Theme: Resilience

Dates: 5-6 March 2026
Venue: Novotel Christchurch Airport

Registration (includes conference dinner): $220 for the two-day event or $120 for a single day

This year’s theme Resilience highlights the ability of both patients and clinicians to adapt, recover, and grow, which strengthens stoma care for all. During this two-day event you’ll be able to explore new ideas, learn from expert sessions, connect with colleagues and celebrate our collective progress.

This event is open to all stomal therapy nurses. There is no requirement to be a member of the College of Stomal Therapy Nurses to attend.

Call for Abstracts closes 28 February 2026 - Get yours in!

The CSTN Committee warmly invites ALL members to submit an abstract for consideration to present in the Peer Presentation section of our 2026 Conference.

  • If you are chosen to present you will receive complimentary Conference registration.
  • Please support our Conference with your submission. Share your knowledge and tell your story. Show off the innovative work you're doing.
  • All accepted presentations are automatically entered into a sponsored “Best Presentation” competition (sponsorships and prizes TBA).
  • Your participation in this part of the Conference contributes to us all enjoying a successful conference.
  • Remember, Conference presentations are ALWAYS excellent to include in your PDRP.

Topic: Anything stoma, fistula management, experiential, task, knowledge and/or skills related, where you have used your innovation and/or your expertise

Time: 15-minute presentation, 5 minute question time

Process:

  • Your 100-200 word abstract should include an outline of your topic and content plus a snapshot of your role.
  • Email your abstract to the editors of “The Outlet” at preetinair_c@hotmail.com and cstn.chair@gmail.com.

NZNO CSTN Committee members will review all abstracts and the outcome of submissions will be advised soon.
