Perioperative Nurses College Awards

The Perioperative Nurses College (NZNO) administers a number of awards to support study, education or professional development in the field of perioperative nursing.

Annual College Awards - Napier AGM - 2018

Dallas Jessiman Award

  • 1 x up to $500
  • Awarded to a Perioperative Nurse who is a member of the College and is attending the College annual conference for the first time
  • Drawn by ballot at the annual conference Annual General Meeting, which applicants must attend
  • The recipient will write a resume of the educational benefits of the programme they attended at the conference, which will be published in The Dissector Journal
  • Get the application form on the NZNO Scholarships and Grants page
  • Send your completed application form and any supporting information to the College National Secretary at pnc.sec@xtra.co.nz

Award for the best Clinical Practice article in The Dissector journal

  • 1 x up to $1000
  • Awarded to the author of the best article for clinical practice contributed to and published in The Dissector kournal
  • All articles published in the current membership years' journal issues will be included in the judging
  • The judging panel will be determined by the College's Editorial Committee
  • The recipient will be announced at conference at AGM and duly notified
  • Get guidelines on writing an article for The Dissector

Award for best Quality and Innovation article in The Dissector journal

  • 1 x up to $1000
  • Awarded to the author of the best article for quality and innovation contributed to and published in The Dissector journal
  • All articles published in the current membership years' journal issues will be included in the judging

  • The recipient will be announced at conference at AGM and duly notified
  • Get guidelines on writing an article for The Dissector

  • Awarded to a first time author of the best article contributed to and published in The Dissector journal

  • This award is to acknowledge an individual Perioperative Nurses College member for their outstanding service to the perioperative community
