During our most recent webinar, we had the pleasure of hearing about sexual health in Pacific communities across research findings, community engagement, and practice.
Our presenters, Taitu’uga Rokeni Tofaeono and Dr Analosa Veukiso-Ulugia, provided an overview of the persistent disparities in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) while highlighting critical and protective factors such as culture and faith in Pacific families and communities. Sexual and Reproductive Health Across the Life-course
On Tuesday 20 October, we are hosting a special edition of our Sexual and Reproductive Health Across the Life-course webinar series to celebrate World Menopause Day!
This 90-minute webinar will highlight the research of Dr. Chelsea Harris and launch Sexual Wellbeing's own report on menopause knowledge and experiencing and accessing related care.
Ragnar Anderson, Senior Policy and Research Advisor at Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa, will briefly present findings from our recent survey. Dr. Chelsea Harris from University of Otago will follow with her presentation on Indigenous experiences and perspectives of menopause. Dr. Harris and Sexual Wellbeing’s Medical Director, Dr. Beth Messenger, will then open the floor for questions and answer session. We welcome you to join us!

The Light Project
Our second upcoming event is the free, online launch of new national guidance for understanding, responding to, and reducing the risks associated with harmful rough sex. This guidance was developed by Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa and The Light Project.
Our cross-disciplinary expert panel will discuss rough sex within a New Zealand context and offer an opportunity to learn more and explore this complex, important topic.
