The following contains a speech made possible with funds from the Women’s Health College. The Auckland branch of National Council of Women used the fund as the prize for first place for their Inaugural Speech Competition. The competition was open to year 12 and 13 girls and the topic was “What does a gender equal Aotearoa/NZ look like?” 

Latayvia Tualasea Head Girl of St Dominic's School in Henderson won first prize. Latayvia was asked to deliver her outstanding speech a second time to Auckland Council at Suffrage Day: Report and Speech
