In a further consultation paper on implementing the Vulnerable Childrens Act, Children Actions Plan Directorate is now seeking views on the issues around the sharing of information. Proposals are expected to go to Cabinet early in the new year.
Consultation questions are on on page 15.
The paper notes that 'health information is a special case' - you may like to consider what health information about vulnerable children could or should be shared, potential risks/difficulties, and what additional responsibilities this may place on nurses. You may also want to consider what information from other agencies would be useful to be shared on health record - vulnerable children often have multiple health issues.
