Mental Health and Wellbeing Long-Term Pathway NZNO encourages members to participate in the current Ministry of Health (MoH) consultation on a mental health and wellbeing long term pathway. MoH is inviting the sector to help shape the transformation of New Zealand’s approach to mental health and addiction. The approach addresses recommendations from He Ara Oranga: Report of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction and incorporates the direction set out subsequently in Kia Kaha, Kia Māia, Kia Ora Aotearoa – COVID-19 Psychosocial and Mental Wellbeing Recovery Plan (Kia Kaha). Stakeholder feedback is sought on topics such as how to implement the Kia Kaha framework principles, what support/resources are required, and what’s working well. You can link to the online survey here and submit a response directly to Ministry of Health or you may choose to look through the survey questions and contribute your thoughts to NZNO as part of a joint submission. Please note the short timeframe for response. Please send feedback internally to Belinda.Tuari-Toma@nzno.org.nz by 19 March, or submit the online form directly to Ministry of Health by 24 March.
