This bill overhauls the Domestic  Violence Act to strengthen the legal framework for family violence laws and break the cycle of family violence.

The key provisions of the Bill include:

·more accurately recording family violence offending in the criminal justice system,

·enabling the introduction of codes of practice, and new information sharing provisions across all those dealing with family violence
