Proposal to fully fund Mercilon 28 for oral contraception NZNO welcomes your feedback on PHARMAC’s proposal to increase the subsidy to fully fund ethinyloestradiol 20 mcg with desogestrel 150 mcg tablets and 7 inert tablets (Brand name: Mercilon 28) for oral contraception. There would be no change for individuals on other fully funded combined oral contraceptives. Further details about the proposal are available here on the PHARMAC website. Please note the short timeframe for feedback. Please send feedback to Policy.Analysts@nzno.org.nz by 9 March 2021.
