Keynote speakers

Prof Meinir Krishnasamy, PHD, FAAN: Professior of Cancer Nursing at the University of Melbourne and honorary Professor of Cancer nursing at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She is Research and Education Lead for Nursing at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Alliance. Her research focuses on cancer supportive care, health equity and experiences of care for people with poor prognosis cancers, and the contribution of nurses to patient and system level outcomes.
Associate Professor Jason Gurney (NGAPŪHI): An epidemiologist and Director of the Cancer and Chronic Conditions (C3) Research Group at the University of Otago. Jason is currently leading multiple national-level projects on equity in health outcomes for Māori, with a focus on cancer.
