Consultation

NZNO welcomes feedback on this reviewed and updated NZNO Publication Development Process guideline.

The Publications Team is interested in your views about how this process will support your ability to publish evidenced based, practice focused documents that support the nursing profession in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The reputation and credibility of NZNO as a professional and industrial voice for nursing in Aotearoa New Zealand rests in part on the quality of the publications we produce.  They are a demonstration of what nurses and nursing contributes to the health, well-being and safety of our communities.  There is a robust review and editing process for all publications (guidelines; factsheets; position statements; research reports and knowledge and skills frameworks) to ensure each addresses equity, reflects NZNOs responsibility as a te Tiriti partner, includes up to date evidence and uses APA referencing.

Supply of Primidone and Gabapentin

NZNO invites your feedback on PHARMAC’s proposal to change the funded brands of primidone tablets and gabapentin. Everyone using primidone tablets and gabapentin capsules would need to change brands to continue using a funded medicine.

Primidone is a medication used to treat epilepsy.

There would be no change to dispensing or access restrictions that currently apply to these medicines.

The change is coming about because Apotex is leaving the New Zealand market.
