Contribute to NERF

The purpose of the Nursing Education and Research Foundation (NERF) is to establish and maintain a fund to provide scholarships, travel grants and other assistance to New Zealand nurses, thereby to enable them to do nursing research work and acquire specialised knowledge and/or further qualifications in connection with their profession of nursing. Overall, NERF’s mission is to promote excellence in nursing and health care by providing funding opportunities for education and research.

NERF welcomes enquiries from individuals and/or groups who may wish to donate or bequeath funds to NERF for the purposes of fulfilling its mission.

To this end, NERF has commissioned their lawyer, Russell Buchanan of Buchanan Gray, to develop a set of sample clauses for bequests and a sample trust deed. These clauses and the associated sample trust deed are designed to provide a useful basis for discussion between the person interested in making a bequest and their lawyer.

These are samples only and it is essential the person interested in making a bequest should obtain his/her own independent legal advice before making any decision about which type of bequest they may wish to make.

For individuals and/or groups seeking to make a donation, further information can be found in NERF’s Bequests and Donations pamphlet available here:
