Online databases  NZ and international

The Academic OneFile database includes fulltext of three NZNO journals:

  • The Dissector: Journal of the Perioperative Nurses College of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation  2011 onwards
  • Kaitiaki Nursing New Zealand  2003 onwards
  • Kaitiaki Nursing Research 2010 onwards

The Informit database focuses on Australasian information and includes four databases:

  • Health collection
  • New Zealand collection
  • Families and society collection
  • Humanities and social sciences collection

The Nursing and Allied Health Collection Database covers all aspects of the nursing profession from direct patient care to health care administration and more

The Public Health Database (Proquest) contains full-text core literature on public health, with over 500 full-text titles.

  • Get regular summaries of current health and nursing books, journal articles, links and news, from both local and international sources
  • Current NZNO members can request copies of up to two articles from each journal.

  • Access resource lists on a wide range of topics from nursing practice through health and employment, to twelve-hour shifts
  • Each resource list contains links to numerous websites, reports and journal articles
