Waikato nurse honoured

16 September 2015 Waikato clinical nurse specialist and intern nurse practitioner Julie Daltrey was honoured for her service to nursing at an awards ceremony in Wellington last night.

NZNO president Marion Guy says, "Julie is an exemplary role model who has made a significant contribution to Gerontology nursing at a local and national Level."

"She has been actively involved in two national conferences including the inaugural Caregivers conference in 2014."

"Julie represented the views of the Gerontology Section to the Chief Coroner's Office, resulting in changes to the way deaths can be verified."

"Julie is an enthusiastic advocate for nursing older adults and empowering nurses working within this speciality.  She is dynamic, inspirational, passionate and provides a clear vision and positive presence for Gerontology Nursing. It is a pleasure to honour her work."
