Ministry of Health draft breast tumour standards

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) welcomes the opportunity to briefly comment on the Ministry of Health (MOH) draft breast tumour standards. We support the draft standard and specifically wish to acknowledge the commitment and focus on addressing ethnic differences for Māori women, who have the highest incidence of breast cancer of any indigenous population in the world (Jemal et al 2010; Condon et al 2003).
