Essential Skills in Demand Proposal

Southern DHB - Offshore recruitment

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation wrote to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in response to Southern District Health Board's (SDHB) application for renewal of their accredited employer (AE) status. SDHB wishes to retain its employer accreditation because of "the current need to recruit offshore for talented staff, to anticipate future need to recruit offshore for talented staff and to enable fast track offshore recruitment of talent should the need arise. Among the positions it intends to fill are clinical, allied health or management employees." NZNO does not support offshore recruitment of nurses at this time.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation responded to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's request in response to Capital Coast District Health Board's (CCDHB) application for renewal of their accredited employer (AE) status.
