Proposal for sole subsidised supply of progestogen-only long-acting intra-uterine system (LIUS) (Mirena)

The New Zealand Nurses organisation made a submission opposing PHARMAC's proposal for sole subsidised supply of Mirenas, a hormonal IUD. NZNO opposed the proposal because it continues to restrict access to subsidised mirenas for both long- acting reversible contraception and heavy bleeding. NZNO recommends wider access

The Use of Cryopreserved Ovarian Tissue to Restore Ovarian Function: Proposed advice to the Minister of Health

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation made a submission in support of the Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART) proposed advice to the Minister that the use of cryogenically preserved ovarian tissue to restore ovarian function should be treated as an established procedure, without the need for case by case ethical review.
