The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa (NZNO) made a submission to the Health Information Standards Organisation, Ministry of Health, on Proposed changes to the National Health Index (NHI) system and HISO 10046, the Consumer Health Identity Standard.

NZNO made a submission to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP) Amendment Bill recommending the addtion of a clause which would prevent the government from extending investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) protection to future signatories of the TPPA.

NZNO made a submission to the Ministry of Health supporting a proposal for a later start date to the influenza vaaccination programme.

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  (NZNO) made a brief submission to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment on their disucssion document: Increasing the Transparency of the Beneficial Ownership of New Zealand Companies and Limited Partnerships 

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa  (NZNO) made a second submission to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) on the Consumers’ Right to Know (Country of Origin of Food) Bill. NZNO supports the Bill its original form but not the recommendations of the interim report on this Bill that recommends country of origin labelling should apply to “only fresh or frozen food and not dried, cured or pickled food”, such as bacon and ham. This objection is on the grounds that consumers need to know if the small goods they are consuming are imported or contain imported products and therefore potentially associated  with public health risks such as AMR and viruses linked to pork.
