Worker Safety Checks: Vulnerable Children's Act Regulations

The New Zealand Nurses organisation made a further submission to the Ministry of Health, on the Vulnerable Children’s (Requirements for Safety Checks) Regulations 2015 and Advice for Interpreting and Applying the Regulations. In general NZNO supports identity checks, and to some extent police vetting of the children's workforce, but has reservations about the three yearly police checks, the transparency of reference checking, and the individual interviewing and risk assessment components.
