Embracing our whakapapa – Mana o te wai

Pandemics have been a feature of our past, although none as significant as COVID-19. While COVID-19 has had significant global economic and social impact, the impact to Māori has been considerable.

Lockdowns made it illegal for us to visit the Maunga, bathe in the Awa, gather with whānau or have whānau at the bedside of our sick whānau or be at tangihanga. For some, these decisions contributed to trauma.

Our conference will embrace the opportunity to reconnect, and with the amazing line-up of speakers, allow us to explore our inner strengths.
