  • The Enrolled Nurse Section promotes the profession, lobbies on behalf of enrolled nurses and ensures legislation, education and recognition is maintained for enrolled nurses.

Our Regional Enrolled Nurse Section offers excellent opportunities for mutual support, to share information, express concerns, discuss employment issues, develop education i.e. study days, and promote the professional role of enrolled nurses and nursing.

    Enrolled Nurse Section membership types

    • Full membership is available to Enrolled Nurses who are financial members of NZNO and are members of a Regional Enrolled Nurse Section.

Enrolled Nurses with an additional Qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse/Midwife) who are practising within that scope of practice are not eligible for Full membership of the Section but are welcome as Associate members.
    • Associate membership is also available to Enrolled Nurses who are interested in enrolled nursing but not necessarily in practice. Applicants must be members of NZNO unless they meet the criteria for Retired Enrolled Nurse membership.
Associate members may not hold office, propose nominations or motions or have voting rights.  The name and address of associate members shall appear in the register of members.
    • Retired Enrolled Nurse membership is available on individual application to the National Enrolled Nurse Section Committee to those who have retired permanently from nursing and any other employment position.
Retired members may not hold office, propose nominations or motions or have voting rights. The name and address of retired members shall appear in the registry of members.
